This class is a great introduction to drawing and pen techniques using botany as our main subject. The specific theme for this class is House Plants. The tools and techniques shared in this workshop are beneficial to creating beautiful organic leaves from different house plants. After we explore the breakdown of a variety of plants, we will learn how to use composition to create a final piece of art.

2H or 2B pencil, eraser (Streader), kneaded eraser & ruler
Pens (Copic Multi-liners or Micron) 0.1, 0.3, & 0.5
9” x 12” Paper (Illustration board, mixed media paper or sketchbook)
8.5” x 11” plain printer paper or sketchbook for warmups
Photos of house plant varieties (a few reference photos will be sent out before class begins)
