These classes are a great introduction into Pen & Ink techniques for botanical art. We will explore specific botany for each class including succulents, Arizona poppies and prickly pears through a fun whimsical medium that has been used in botanical art and illustration for centuries.

Main Concepts:

Basics in color application with watercolor
Discover organic shapes and line contour
Shadows, Highlights & gradients.
Positive and Negative space

Tools Needed:

Pencil/Eraser
Pens (at least two sizes if possible- Micro or Copic | Ball point pens + Sharpies are okay too)
Paper
Photo of Botany (A few photos will be sent out the week of class)
